Will the iPad Air 2 have a shorter life span due to its one-off tri-core processor?

this anandtech's ipad pro review:

does mean ipad air 2 have relatively shorter app/developer support? going forward developers leave out ipad air 2 because of one-off tri-core processor architecture , app incompatibility, or design apps work 2 cores leaving 3rd core unused on ipad air 2?

no expert don't see how core count has impact on app compatibility. there various single, dual , multi core socs on dozens of devices running identical software.
