2015 rMBP battery drain when gaming in OS X


hey all,

before starts jumping conclusions, know mac's not ideal gaming computer. have 2 games on 2015 rmbp 13" 1= star wars kotor 2 , 2= cod 4.

picked xbox 360 controller use during holiday trip see in-laws.

loaded drivers, , controller works cod 4.

however!!!! battery drain ridiculous. normal? i'm talking 2.0 2.5 hours of battery life on full charge. when noticed quick drain in battery life, noticed fans humming loudly.

typically 8-10 hours on single charge rmbp. know gaming takes more resources, shocked @ dramatic difference in battery life. games downloaded mac app store.
 

yep thats right, if max out computer games terrible battery life thats way i'm afraid.

can set fps, turn off uneeded effects, turn down screeen brightness , resolution etc , bit more time laptops useless gaming 17" gaming laptops huge batteries crap battery life.
