iPhone 6s battery issue


the battery icon on iphone 6s (space grey, 16gb) has been freezing. is, battery percentage level, e.g., 92% or 77%, , not change though have used phone several hours. upon reboot, battery level drops precipitously. phone has shutdown because ran out of battery life without giving me 20% or 10% warnings. else having problem?
