Xfinity Wireless extended with Airports


i hope right place, have question home network. have background in , networking life of me can't figure 1 out. before people tell me turn xfinity modem's wireless off , bridge mode use airport extreme router, have tried , had similar problems being able see clients on network, wired , wireless can xfinity.

setup xfinity router, hard wired airport extreme , airport express. in airport utility create wireless network on both airports same ssid, security , password. connects , seems good. however, notice quite wireless won't see wired , vice versa. wifi printer doesn't found, sonos speakers won't show, , of machines don't see each other. when shut off airport, works fantastic, except range. there i'm missing here? appreciate can provide.
 

why wouldn't use express extend extreme's network rather creating separate network same name? that's how have set , can see everything.
