Giving Up on Notes : Alternatives?


for no apparent reason, i've saved in notes in past week has gone missing. not in mac or iphone.

furthermore, though there many notes in app, none of them show until begin typing in search bar.

so...two questions:

1. can tell me might have gone wrong?

2. looking alternative notes. it's become trouble. so...any feedback on evernote or onenote might helpful in making mind turn? ease of use , stability being 2 main things, of course, other important things might whether or not have save or automatically me , how big "too big" regarding documents/files within either.

i hope can recover notes , export them plain text.

use simplenote because write plain text notes (with multi markdown) , works on ios , os x. older macbook snow leopard use web version.

have written shell script rename text files when downloading notes simplenote's web version. nvalt saves simplenote notes plain text. helpful can save them dropbox directly.

i'm fine 1 folder notes because they're named yyyymmdd-tag-title; example 20160209-nart-everything-buckets "note" "article" of buckets written today (2016 feb 9).
