Thank APPLE for "Find my Phone"

i on way work yesterday , reached on move bag had macbook pro in , ipad. horror bag light, after texting son begging him tell me had laptop , getting dreaded "nope" stomach fell. kinds of thoughts went through head, called auto insurance , found out had $200.00 in personal property in coverage. opened claim on home owners , told contacted.

knew macbook not accessed because had password it, ipad did not have lock on , through wireless carrier. logged onto att , saw ipad had data usage on past 24hrs. signed onto "find phone" app , put ipad in lost mode. not online @ time within 15min got email exact address ipad at. work utility company able phone number residents @ address , thought calling them not best idea. called police make report , provide them information had. excited because had address, when police officers got here brought reality. stated go on there if residents did not let them in there nothing do. don't know if of defeat or wants excitement in lives agreed go house , bring them show "parents" tracking information convince them devices there.

driving on there had 10% hope happen. sat in husbands truck 5 houses down, 2 more units showed @ location. 5 minutes later saw officers walking truck dark outside, , did not see in hands, both said "no luck". got out of truck , walked officers , asked me "are looking these" , 1 of officers took hands behind , handed me macbook , ipad. not "hugger" hug them. grateful cried.

took 3hrs time felt light bag time had devices back. did not cord laptop did not want greedy, had no problem buying charger. since have read others experience find phone app , police not lucky. grateful writing story on macbook. highly recommend making sure devices set on find phone app.
