Why is Chrome using my microSD card?


hello,

first specs:

macbook air 2015 13"/8/128
microsd card 128gb, samsung evo+ samsung adapter
google chrome 47.0.2526.80 (64-bit)
mountain 1.6.1

problem:

have mountain installed eject sd card moment laptop falls asleep , re-mount upon wake. works of time. sd card has iphoto library on it. when close lid iphoto running, message card couldn't unmounted iphoto using – fair enough. adds chrome list, , today first time chrome alone prevented unmount.

– why hell chrome accessing sd card containing iphoto library , nothing else whatsoever?!

(please not respond "use safari" ;) )

in advance!
 

if guess blindly:

1) may have uploaded photo internet using chrome, iphoto library. may have still been open temporary file in browser. not @ all, admittedly. :confused:

2) ran out of ram , paged ssd - chrome resource-hog, pretty guaranteed. going on speculation, reason os x decided page sd card instead. very unlikely. :confused:

3) chrome randomly created cache folder sd card reason. fairly unlikely. :confused:

4) google decided float through photos , upload personal stuff evil cloud nefarious purposes. somewhat likely. :d

in conclusion, haven't foggiest. i'd check free space on internal ssd , maybe check if files/folders have been added sd card. maybe run volume verification measure. else may have better idea.

, use safari ;)
