A year ago the big panic was about....


ebola.

yes. various state governors vowing call out national guard. various forum posters called mass detention of had travelled affected areas, including healthcare workers.

good, solid panic.

year later? pretty forgotten. fox news et al have moved on new issues viewers quivering fear , rage over.

thats not ebola not serious health threat in west africa. or should in way relent on medical research vaccines , treatments. ngos , government public health organizations, both here in , internationally, need vigilant in detecting , preventing spread of disease.

medical professionals, public health official, , researchers have learned quite lot experience in dealing 2014 ebola outbreak.

rest of us? not much.
 

also year ago west lead usa lining against russia annexing krim, , supporting rebels of east ukraine. nato going strengthen, west going stand it's ally in east. sanctions in place , every day there talk more , more pressure placed on russia.
year later russia bombing isis , nobody nobody talks ukraine.
