iPad Pro Professionals: Share Your Experience Switching to the iPad Pro

as finds tablet future of computing, i've been intrigued purchase ipad pro, perhaps instead of macbook pro -- needs more bigger ipad. apple needs create pro ios first me. in safari: if can in safari on mac (especially in web development), should work on ipad otherwise it's pointless. i'll waiting ipad pro 2 if buy 1 since find software , value (at least compared ipad air 2 being under half price on-sale) sorely lacking in first, how have professionals been handling it?

 

i have 5 year old macbook pro, , instead of getting new 1 decided try ipad pro , see if can that. far good, it's work in progress.

it's getting right apps. because of how apps sandboxed in ios, safari isn't going versatile on mac. however, there seem apps designed task need do.

example of ftp. business upload , download music files ftp site on daily basis. ftp site has nice web interface, , on macbook use web interface upload , download , worked fine. without file manager in ios, can't that.

instead found app called "documents" allows me connect directly ftp , upload/download files needed. once file downloaded, can open in whatever app want. in case of music files, found nice app called "audio share" allows me open wav files, listen them, , see file properties.

have found way exact same thing have done years on macbook, process different on ipad pro. in fact, in ways easier if able find apps instead of using "all purpose" web browser everything.

think biggest adjustment realize without local file system on device, have move files 1 of many cloud services. of apps play nicely dropbox, icloud drive, onedrive, etc.
