How is MBP Mid 2010 compared with Surface Pro 4?


hello, interested in surface pro 4 , @ same time waiting new mac laptop. right now, have old mbp 17" 2010 (i7 2.66ghz, 8gb, toshiba 500gb hd, intel hd graphics , nvidia geforce gt 330m 512mb). in terms of overall performance , 3d graphics performance, how i5/i7 sp4 compared mbp 17" mid 2010 if latter has hd or ssd?

know upgrade hd of mbp 17" ssd. if do, buy 1tb version. given cost, wonder if should buy sp4 instead.

less interested in surface book has gpu because: 1. heavier sp4. 2. when screen separated, battery life hour.
 

your computer benchmarks @ 4767 on geek bench.

surface pro 4 benches around 6300, it's better performing , graphics far superior.

ssd feel lot faster opening apps moving files etc , having faster ports wifi etc make massive difference.
