Modify title of Calendar event after invite accepted

one of people @ work sends calendar invites wordy names "breakfast meeting suzanne". when accept, loads calendar name -- then, far can tell, unmodifyable. when view calendar, it's filled entries entitled "breakfast meeting with" , "important meeting" , "followup meeting" instead of want: name of person. cannot find way modify event; calendar won't allow me so. google search turns empty. how modify title of calendar event if event 1 sent me , accepted me, after have accepted it?

if it's exchange calendar, i'm pretty sure event creator has ability edit event...at least that's way looks @ outlook web app on office 365. of course, there may exchange server options control this. not sure if outlook mac or windows has per-event guest editing privileges option.

@ gmail , google apps (web portal), event creator can check option allow guests modify events it's unchecked default. seems that, when option checked, guest have make changes @ google calendar web portal , changes reflect on every attendee's calendar.

believe @ mercy of wordy co-worker original event. create own event @ same time attendee(s) names , additional info wish.
