iMac won't boot up


image.jpeg 2007 imac (running snow leopard) not boot inito os x.

internal drive doesn't show mounted in disk utility (via install disc 1).

i've tried safe boot holding shift , took photo of appeared on screen. give indication of issue , how resolve it.

advised run apple hardware test via install disc 2, imac keeps ejecting disc 2.

it's not massive issue i've got new imac on order , have time machine backup on external drive. if can 2007 imac can check backup latest.

in advance.
 

when in disk utility while booted dvd, can run repair disk? also, disk utility show s.m.a.r.t. status of drive (in lower right of window)?
