i'm wondering whether here has me epson gt-1500 scanner , has tips problem. since upgrading os x 10.10.5 os x 10.11.1 scanner buttons don't work anymore. can still open manually epson scan application , scan there cannot operate scanner buttons. switching scanner on (literally) not sound right anymore. under os x 10.10 scanner would, when switched on, go through startup routine during make noises. now, under os x 10.11.1, there no startup routine , no sound. none of scanner buttons (except power button still switches scanner on , off). when starting mac old operating system os x 10.10.5 (i still have system original previous state on second internal hard drive) scanner working normal. uninstalling , reinstalling scanner software several times using "latest" software (from 2014) epson download page explicitly meant used os x 10.11 (scanner driver , epson scan utility v3.4.9.9) did not help. ideas?

i've been waiting l-o-n-g time updated mac pro , need move forward something. there reason not buy new mac pro @ time? composer/musician , audio though need render video send music 'roughs' film clips producers/director see/hear. thinking of going latest imac 5k worried machine heating , possible noise. newest mac pro fine audio needs believe, 'updated' mac pro have regret not waiting for? thoughts on this.   if need it, it, if makes money. no 1 can sure next mac pro i'd think faster, have updated graphics components , updated throughput (ranging thunderbolt how ssd interfaces). no 1 knows when come out said, if available version work done better have , makes money go it. did on month ago , no regrets, thing computational beast, if need os x performance it's way go. if software runs on other platforms may able other workstations faster , cheaper.

so have 2015 rmbp purchased few months back, has had little use , in condition... now, in time have had machine once have needed clean screen. had small fingerprint in corner few weeks after purchase used microfibre cloth (dry) came rmpb. give keyboard wipe after use dry microfibre cloth ( courtesy of specsavers ). after seeing staingate threads , photos, figure in case right! morning, not having used week or open , find in middle of screen appears greasy imprint of of keys on display! won't lie, panic set in... machine cost me £1400 or so! having owned loads of laptops in past never needed babying thinking lots of nasty apple thoughts. going grab iphone , take photo's , post them here thought hang on, calm down... went , got microfibre cloth (apple supplied one) , wet water (and water), wiped screen in light , mean light circular motion , screen new again. can't believe it, thought screwed!
