hello, updated mid-2010 macbook snow leopard el capitan (at least thought). in addition inserted new 850 evo samsung (500gb) + 8 gb ram. @ first, computer fast..applications loaded fast etc. after 2 weeks, having issues it....one of noticable drop in speed...to point whole system (cursor) seems stalling..also see lot of spining wheels. can still work on it's weird...loading of stupid built-in dictionary can take 2-3 seconds, before instant. on boot-up too,before fast, not takes much longer. feels if still running old 5400rpm hdd. in fact, can point...just now, when letters typing need split second longer appear...again, stalling best description...or feeling if rewinding movie in slow motion. in activity monitor, cpu usage jumps 10% 350%..with kernel_task. see printscreen below. it's unpleasant work with. on top of everything, uppper left-hand corner exteremely hot...and when place fingers next microphne, whole aluminium on "fire"..re

i'm having bit of trouble iphone 6s icloud backups. ipad air 2 seems work fine. got message on phone iphone hasn't been backed 7 weeks goto manually , message "the last backup not completed". googled issue , tried read online. first thing did quick reset didn't work. tried waiting out several days in case server issue. tried deleting old backup , trying again. didn't work. tried signing out of icloud , in, didn't work , massive headache. lost icloud photos (they restoring now) , cards in applepay needed reactivated. not recommend doing unless absolutely have too. tried reseting network settings, didn't work , again massive headache. lost wifi , bluetooth information not on iphone every device (including imac) tied appleid. regretting long time. other step can think of restore new. if getting work requires me not using , starting fresh point of in first place? has run this, have suggestions? appr

not having luck finding answers on this, don't know if suck @ searching in forum or if first post it. i've been doing fair amount of google searching little results. not use time machine prefer manually backup files on frequent basis , other macbooks in house have access drive if need be. looking @ getting new router (currently have airport) , moving asus rt-ac68u router couple of usb ports on it. in perfect world, i'd love have media hdd , backup hdd attached router , able access these on network (in case wasn't clear). haven't pulled trigger on new router yet, curious if accessing encrypted hdd on wireless network? did have issues getting setup? thoughts/tips?   why hdd encrypted in first place? can network devices, encrypted hdd going readable device encrypted in first place, otherwise defeat whole point of encryption.   Foru

i attempting figure out way strip out text 'calendar summary' action within automator. hi everyone. i've run issues restoring iphone apps to/from phone backup in itunes, thought i'd see if might able help. reference, iphone 5s running ios 9.0.1, , i'm using itunes 12.3.0.44 on macbook pro running yosemite. noticed there number of apps in music/itunes/itunes music/mobile applications no longer have installed on iphone, in interest of freeing little disk space on macbook pro, wanted rebuild app archive scratch. deleted of apps in mobile applications folder, plan use file > devices > transfer purchases [my iphone's name] function re-copy of apps phone itunes archive, thereby leaving me apps i'm using. unfortunately, after deleting of apps mobile applications folder re-connecting phone , using "transfer purchases" function, few items seem transfer (a few songs i've purchased on itunes), , that's it. reason, can't apps on iphone copy itunes archive, , mobile applications folder remains empty

last night used boot camp install windows 10 on 2014 macbook pro 13". went smoothly installation, ran issue when went format usb drive used setup. (formatted fat32) couldn't format disk utility because found read only. popped terminal , tried format "diskutil" using superuser permissions. still wouldn't work. getting error code 69877. attempted use gpt tool force delete partition, telling me "permission denied." booted windows try erasing there. tried methods know including formatting through windows explorer, administrator tools, , diskpart in command prompt. nothing working. drive doesn't want formatted. suggestions?   is flash drive or external usb hard drive? if flash drive, there may slide switch on makes read-only.   Forums Macs Mac
