hi folks. sorry if bit long firstly ill introduce myself. name barry , have worked in long mac skills have gone awry on last few years due lack of customers using them. work design company in uk. time ago installed netgear readynas 102 6tb file server. pc's on network access readynas quickly. 2 macs really slow, taking 3 minutes open folder on share. both macs running 10.11.3 el capitan , imac (24inch, 2008). other 1 imac (retina 5k 27 inch late 2014). have been trying @ length working netgear support resolve no avail far. have had netgear engineer remote nas , make changes smb settings , upgrade firmware. nothing makes difference. tried new switch, swapped port on 1 pc running on , same. out of ideas hoping apple user may have had similar problem there must fair few using readynas. problem has been there sometime gather got worse latest os upgrade. way know connect other devices nas use go menu in finder, put ip address in using eith

i got iphone 6 on launch day in 2014. year i've noticed battery abnormally touchy when comes temperature. few times @ friend's house in garage , while i'm using phone shut off if battery dead. since attributed cold, i'd put in pocket few minutes warm up, turn on , display had plenty of battery life left (sometime 30%-40%). last night wasn't particularly cold , when got home plugged in , battery jumped 20% 40% , wasn't below 40f. i've calibrated battery multiple times in past few weeks (using until shuts off @ 1% , leaving charge overnight) , seems same situation. charge every night, don't remember iphone 4 or 5 every being touchy when comes temperatures still within operating ranges. i'm guessing how thin casing , battery more sensitive, has been noticing more? no apple care i'm pretty carrying around battery bank @ least until weather warms more and/or 7 released year.

i understand overhead , that, given ipad mini 2 christmas. box says 16 gb itunes says 11.89 capacity. added information on apps in storage panel in settings , came under 3.9 gb, yet says "6.9 gb used" , 4.8 gb available. 6.9 used?? hardly have on it, no videos, no music, no photos, , add storage sizes shown in unit , comes 3.9. itunes says "other" taking 1.75 gb" deleted bunch of apps , data , synced , now itunes reports 4.04 gb used other has grown 1.93 gb! deleting bunch of apps , data , adding nothing, "other" grew quarter gig? having ferrari one-gallon gas tank. on top of gas tank "shrinking". contrast ipod touch 32gb states has on 29gb capacity. overhead on 32gb less 3 gbs overhead 16gb on ipad on 4gb? maddening , don't understand what's going on in there.   i wanted add have no icloud account or connection going on. no itune

hi all. long time since posted on site / forum! have virgin media big bang plus sky movies @ moment. gives basic tv channels (and movies), land line, , 100 mbps broadband. plan drop tv part keep virgin 100 mbps broadband , land line. replace tivo , tv service apple tv. i presume doing can watch freeview via app (is called tv guide?), add sky movies and/or sport via nowtv app when choose to, plus netflix , iplayer well. i guess doing losing ability record program off of freeview, losing ability pause freeview tv? just wanted run past uk users before buy apple tv. james   the app you're wanting called tv player. contains 5 terrestrial channels. tv entertainment/movie pass (ebay best bet) sorts out sky needs. movies 720p though not greatest of quality. iplayer isn't available yet apple tv. should able pause you're watching other streaming app.

i bought mid-2012 macbook air in cosmetic condition @ work $419. 13" 2.0ghz 8gb 256gb ssd. going give mom feeling doesn't want learn new computer after retiring. don't need second laptop since have late 2013 15" retina pro. pro has creative cloud apps on im graphic designer. of 2 laptops, use lower end air model for? im trying justify in mind. lol there problems should on out particular model - 5,2? (apparently says service battery there that.)   over summer bought second laptop (13" 2010 mba) work laptop old , heavy non-retina 2012 15" mbp , didn't want haul around much. carry mba time me in messenger bag , use email, browsing, excel, word , other work related things. @ home keep 15" laptop if need bigger screen or more power. spending $420 of course lot of money on maybe don't need, in case shoulder , appreciate not carrying couple pounds when bike or trav
