finally bit bullet , upgraded 2012 non-retina macbook pro mavericks el capitan , i'm starting regret it. upgrade process went smoothly until needed log in. logged in account, stuck spinning wheel , beach ball 5 minutes. spinning beach ball turned normal cursor, spinning wheel remained. taking long, reset computer find still @ installation bar , apple logo (implying me installation never finished). reset computer 5 times, find stuck each time. so, reset nvram , computer able finish installation. again logged in account , able go through set process, painfully slow, taking 2-3 minutes go 1 step next. computer logs in fine, entire os extremely slow. opening 1 page, lightweight pdf takes computer 2 minutes so. in fact, computer unusable have use ipad type post. advice on how make computer perform again? thought update supposed improve performance, not degrade it...   it's spotlight re-i

i stream videos in bed before falling asleep. since have lights turned off, manually turn down phone's brightness lowest setting. , time time, notice phone dims little second (i don't know how phone can dim more since have brightness setting lowest possible...), , comes set brightness. annoying @ times since images on the videos become dark can't recognize what's being displayed. can't how happens, happens 2-4 times during 30-minute duration. happens on streaming apps use - youtube, mubi , shomi. not sure whether happens on other apps (not video streaming), whether ios or hardware, whether these specific apps causing this, or whether happens when videos being played. else experience this? have 5s 8.4.1.   this may basic have "auto brightness" turned on? maybe culprit?   Forums

hi, purchased apple tv 4 , moved our apple tv 3 bedroom. have converted many of dvds easier in itunes library. on apple tv 3, when go computers, movies, or tv shows can highlight video want watch , read summary description of video before starting it. on apple tv 4, can see if swipe down , click info cast. i'm not able see plot summary. in addition, on apple tv 3, when add new movie or tv show, when click on computers, , main apple tv home screen, able see latest 15 or movies or tv shows added itunes library. on apple tv 4, when same, nothing in home screen added. if go itunes movies , tv shows purchases (not homesharing), new movies , tv shows show up. i'm thinking design apple wants purchase itunes instead of using own personal library. wondering if else experiencing this, or if possible bug current software? otherwise, besides these 2 missing items work on apple tv 3, i'm pretty happy new apple tv 4 unit. thank you, nick

hi guys - i'm having issues doing clean install of el capitan. have installed want cleanly rid of older versions on computer (2015 macbook retina). watched video , i'm following step-for-step , i'm still having issues. i'm having issues when entering command terminal. keep getting error shown (pictures attached). tried using disk maker x 5 , error. hi, bought newest 5k imac comes new magic mouse 2. worked fine first 2 weeks or so, , 1 day started losing connection randomly, reconnect. fine until few days later when connect if mouse directly under screen, , scroll or down, slowly. followed trouble shooting on website, unplugged of usb devices, unplugged system bit, reconnected, same problem. tried restarted several times, removing mouse bluetooth devices, re-synced it, same problem. called apple, sent me replacement got today, worked great 15 minutes, , i'm having same problem. makes strange, apple keyboard came system has no problems, , stranger, previous magic mouse 1 works fine. bluetooth devices have problems 2 new magic mouse 2's. else have problem? have been unlucky enough 2 defective mice?   call applecare, have free coverage 90 days.   Forums

i have unique problem i'm trying friend out with. sorry it's long post, tried make short possible. has own apple id , purchased own apps, lives in country internet locked down , have use proxies, etc access app store, viber, , other apps. wasn't able update apps went tech store in country. person helping him had proxy access , able access app store update apps, reason, somehow transferred or re-downloaded apps under different apple id. friend in canada , wants update apps can't because doesn't have other apple id password , wants have apps under own apple id. way know delete app , re-download under apple id. first problem data. example whatsapp history in particular. when delete app, data deleted too. thought no problem, when re-install ask me restore latest backup right? however, there backup under friend's id, since using under different id? second problem friend claims guy @ store did applied transfer without re-downloading , ca
