hey, i'm heading japan in late march 5/6 days , having trouble making itinerary. i'm attempting fix friend's imac 10,1. has os 10.6.8 installed on it. i'm not macs, (usually pc guy). anyhow, os hdd has bad sectors , presumably on verge of head crash. mavericks had downloaded, not let him install due smart monitoring detecting bad sectors. has no physical copies of version of mac os x. i've been able ahold of 2tb seagate 3.5 drive throw in it, i'm not sure how go restoring old os or installing mavericks or el capitan, or whatever. i'm downloading el capitan , going throw on mac bootable usb thumbdrive using walkthrough found online...and going use time machine backed files restore programs... there way get/create bootable disc? or can use bootable el capitan usb no issue? i've not experience apple os's...only familiar ms os's (key's/licences, etc...). in advance   yep bootable usb best, diskmaker x software used create mine.

hello kind people. thankful know boot time (and specs). fear mp 6.1 takes long boot (but has 64 gb ram , may play role?). mac running el capitan 10.11.2 after "clean install". wanted avoid effort... couldn't, since shutting down possible cutting power supply after unsuccessful "upgrades" yosemite. installed windows 10 needing temporarily revert yosemite since bootcamp of el capitan windows refused install not "seeing" ntfs partition. strangely enough "feeling" windows 10 takes less boot osx 10.11.2... hi everyone, i'm in dilemma right , need tech savvy guys. firstly, lost iphone few months ago, sister let me borrow iphone time being. during time had phone, wrote many private , personal info in notes on phone. whole issue, not want have access or read notes @ all, , biggest fear if reads private notes. i've deleted notes iphone few days ago. whilst using phone, remember never had access apple id , password itunes , couldn't download apps. yesterday, took iphone of me , give me changed. basically, says select country, language, etc. want know chances of accessing these notes on iphone, because lately i'm super paranoid , worried if she'll read them. keep in mind, haven't hinted whatsoever notes. chances she'll run notes? i'm stuck, should do?   i assume find notes if still there. if not good. if deleted them should unless backed them in cloud , restored them
