i run 2 labs 2008 mac pros. keep things humming along fcpx, added 16 gb of ram , additional 2 gb nvidia geforce gt640 card complement stock 512 mb card in each machine. worked great through mavericks. when updated yosemite, mac pros went boot loop. machines unusable. read there problem systems had more 1 video card installed. took out original video card. interestingly, half mac pros ran fine , other half stayed in boot loop. removed new nvidia cards, keeping stock ones instead, upgraded el capitan , things running fine. fcpx isn't running fast, @ least computers stable. have no idea apple did updates since mavericks cause computers freak out non-apple video cards. sort of defeats whole point of having machine lots of expandability. has found sizable video cards work old mac pros , el capitan?   looking at wikipedia , there 5(!) different revisions of gt 640 available. guess apple

hey all, many others decided play disk utility create partition install win 10 on imac 5k late 2014 model. upon going through bootcamp assistant met issues boot device not created ended trying create manually along partition. ended trying create 120 gb partition , taking forever using el capitano's disk utility. twice froze while creating , ended having force quit. can imagine nightmare , had bunch of half created partitions , less spare drive space available. options in disk utility grayed out after booting network recovery. don't use time machine or because frankly don't care keep need on remote server or google drive. now, read lot's of forums tell boot recovery , use terminal erase partitions , seems bit of headache honest. instead of did following start on scratch. if you're windows user , have bootable windows usb stick created following. reboot mac , hold option key. select windows usb stick boot device. when windows install

okay... on 3rd iphone 6 replaced under applecare. first 1 developed antenna problem, second speaker problem, , on #3 (a replacement refurb model obviously). since day 1 battery life of phone has been atrocious compared other 2 phones despite same usage. i've had phone 4 months now. battery lasts 50% less despite changing mail syncing preferences , changing background app settings (which had not been before). additionally, regularly close apps fully, turn off wifi , bt when not necessary, have screen brightness turned down, etc. the time between unplugging phone in morning , dying 5-6 hours. the actual usage time in period little. other symptoms include drastic drops in battery levels (i.e. 50% 30% instantly), shutting off on 20% battery life no low battery warning (then indicating needs charge)... after being plugged in coming life instantly 30% battery. i've been genius bar 3 times issue. each time tell me change settings , see no improvemen
