whenever have ssd (crucial mx100 or samsung 850) internal hard drive, macbook has problems sleep/wake. if unplug (run on battery) macbook , let sleep, ssd (or stock hard drive) not wake up. work second it'll freeze few , flash white screen , reboot. happens when close laptop while it's plugged in , try reopen it. happen randomly after few hours of using computer (and possibly letting sleep in-between). solutions tried: 1. reseting smc 2. installing os x via usb , installing when it's internal drive 3. reinstalling os x 4. repairing drive in disk utility solutions worked @ first (for few days), failed: 1. replacing hard drive cable. update: never mind. after trying again in 12h worked find. i'm guessing sort of icloud connection problem or bug fixed eventually. @ moment use local user account , password log in computer. change password , convert local user icloud account , password. should possible in system settings -> users & groups. problem icloud password won’t accepted. no matter how many times try says “the password incorrect.” (see screenshot). know it's correct password, because can log in in system settings -> icloud, mac app store , itunes without problems. have no idea why keep getting “incorrect password”. i’m on 10.11.1. have filevault enabled. use two-step verification icloud password. possible filevault or two-step verification prevents local user account converted/assigned icloud account , password?   Forums Macs

hi, first up, sorry if has been asked before, have searched forum can't find specific answer. fair bit of photography , run rmbp 128gb storage. keep recent photos on laptop, , move across , store on external hdd (along itunes library). , copy, want up. have read tm can backup external, , i've done on second hard drive, notice if open tm backup drive attached without media drive attached, tm doesn't appear show media drive thought backed up. assuming if media drive failed, plug in backup drive , copy of media drive via tm. maybe going wrong? @ first thought copy , paste photos etc on backup drive, thought tm better save updates each time after first backup. maybe copy , pasting files best? advice appreciated. thanks house.   if want copy entire contents of 1 external drive external drive, best bet use either carboncopycloner or superduper.
