Deployment tools for Macbook's


does know or have used kind of deployment tool (one pushes , installs .pkg's/copies .app's, and/or automatically runs scripts) macbooks. i've been working in test-bed server , open directory/profile manager attempt fill void in company's infrastructure issue that pull model not push model. meaning there client on macbook want manage , @ set interval checks in , see if there updates should pull down. ideally way tell server side each client needs have software on , server can push software client , install it. know windows have sccm can , several other types of software have yet see other apple remote desktop. know in capacity sccm can deploy macbooks long story sccm admin in company said no can't , won't entertain questions on matter.

tldr
need way push software server macbook/group of macbooks rather have client pull updates down server. ideas?
