After Graphics Repair Macbook Pro 15" Early 2011


i bought macbook pro 15" feb of 2011. last year, i've customized 1tb hybrid drive , 16gb ram. had problems (gray screen no logo) , particularly on graphics (distortion). ran repair extension program

cut story short, brought apple store repair , said covered warranty.

ended replacing logic board. replacing 1 tb hybrid drive standard sata 500gb hd, , 16gb ram 8gb ram. without costs on part. (which awesome!)

when asked genius admin, said 16gb causes issues in system. , recommend 8gb. why? worked fine me. hd, notes says bad sector that's why replaced it. when got home put hybrid disk (they returned old hd , ram) in enclosure , run utility disk tests on it, fine.

guess questions is, hd damaged? , 16gb ram causes problems macbook pro 2011?
 

i had issue 3 years ago. because laptop out of warranty , program didn't exist gave up, managed use screenshare , used laptop media server 3 years. learned program last friday, yesterday booked appointment @ genius bar in apple store here in abu dhabi, went today , arrived promptly @ 7:20pm. confirmed had parts available onsite (a brand new macbook pro 15" 2011 logic board) , same guy dealt me @ genius bar same electronic technician intended deal laptop. told me can repaired tonight. left shop @ 8:05pm (that time when got email apple work order) @ 9:30pm technician called me saying laptop fixed , ready collected tomorrow 10am. got pickup email few minutes later. best experience ever regarding technical support.

Fallout 4 Builds- Which ones You Prefer?
