Complete erase and reinstall of mid-2007 iMac?


i bought mid-2007 imac on january 1, 2008. i've loved , have never had single problem it. introduction mac when switched micro$oft.

now, runs slowly, taking 20 seconds or go page page. can't watch streaming videos in firefox anymore because video freezes few seconds twice minute. i've tried complete re-install of firefox fix didn't work.

i'm saving new imac still need 1 until i've saved enough. want complete erase , reinstall of mid-2007 imac. did several years ago but, since then, i've upgraded os. had buy 1 (mountain lion, think) before higher upgrades free.

#1. think complete reinstall (sorry, i'm not lingo) speed imac? (i'm still doing if doesn't speed up, i'm wondering.)

#2. once complete reinstall, how upgrade snow leopard (i think original os) current os without having buy inbetween os's?

#3. there good, detailed, step-by-step site print out instructions on how erase , reinstall?

warnings? tips? advice? recommendations? helpful appreciated, folks.

Fallout 4 Builds- Which ones You Prefer?
