hi guys, first time posting here go easy been struggling find way of reviving 15" macbook pro mid 09 i7 after trying update latest version of el capitan not boot more. turn on, 40% of loading bar, go white screen , cut out. first port of call google f*ck out of it. these things have tried: boot in recovery mode - wont reach disk utility start in safe mode reset nvram reset smc boot in single user mode , entered fsck -fy (after few goes said ok) booting in verbose mode (mac got rather upset , came messsage saying killing cpu , shutting down in 3 seconds) none of worked went reinstall osx aproach. took hdd out , pulled off files wanted through plugging mac (which worked fine). tried doing clean install of el capitan booting through usb , pretty got same response although loads 70% before doing same thing.
