When will apple update the Airport Extreme?


hello everyone, first post here, (sorry if in wrong section). i'm buy airport extreme realized last time updated 2013...i not in of hurry buy can wait, tried find rumors on internet didn't have luck. here have ideas?

know updates apple maybe implement year not make me regret decision buy i'm curious.

(i bought macbook pro 15" last year week before updated i'm trying not repeat again haha)
 

i believe pretty safe go ahead , airport extreme now. if not mistaking...the next wifi standard ad or ax. rumors have these standards appearing in 2016/2017 long computers , other devices using ac not cause apple jump quickly. official ratification standard rumored 2018/2019.

possible hard drive changes made if looking @ time capsule versions wouldn't worry either. long have additional hard drives or can expand storage device current systems capable. think apple has other devices more important update in lineup.
