Wireless AC in 2012 27" iMac?

i searching online see if find answer question , wasn't able find information. think because these computers expensive , there not lot of people playing them yet because still relatively new technology. wanted join forum , start thread can document happens else , general feedback.

ok question if can drop wireless card 2013 27" imac 2012 27" imac , give native wireless ac without need external usb card. believe have same socket , should plug , play. issue can think of antenna different, i'm not sure that. have seen couple threads asking if third party card work, , getting jumped on because "why open computer , ruin wasting $$$$$$$$$$$$" etc etc etc. however, didn't see asking 2013 imac card can on ebay pretty cheap, , if need open computer other repairs, aren't risking super expensive computer needlessly or whatever.

have 2012 27" imac dropped previous owner, caused housing bent little in 1 corner , cracked glass glued lcd badly although lcd still works fine. i've been using computer no problems while have been searching replacement housing , screen. screens seem in short supply , expensive when show because breaking screen appears 1 of common issues these. anyways, able score 2013 27" imac on craigslist $250, has dead logic board , perfect screen , housing. i'm going swap 2012 internals 2013 because have same housing , keep on trucking.

i'll report , let know how goes. plan work on soon, scored 2013 yesterday haven't done work yet. plan switch wifi card when swap internals.

 

osxwifi.com should have parts needed not sure 2013-adapters, understand bcm94360cd should work. if 1 2013 physically fits in 2012 should ok.
