Network (System Preferences… beachball) Yosemite


i have searched many threads on forum , on web in general. have yosemite 10.10.5 installed on mac mini (server edition mid 2011).

of sudden when access network preferences, hangs. can access other configs in system preferences apart network. has else had issue? it’s annoying affects mbp don’t use no longer work away home. network connectivity fine, can’t make changes network.

upgrading el capitan solve it? or better installing yosemite ‘server’ app? gratefully appreciated.

i solved similar problem, in case "icloud" in system preferences hanging.
gave trying trouble-shoot issue , downloaded yosemite 10.1.0.5 combo update , reinstalled update.
fixed problem , did not change else.
