MBP display brightness dims to 1 on restart


something that's been bugging me while now, why when switch mbp brightness has gone down 1 square, first setting.

it's no big deal i'm curious why it's doing after 5 years. 'slightly dim display when not on power source' unticked years ago, not relevant that, never went low.

it's typically set @ 5th square, after restart opens on 1.

have idea. i've had mbp since 2011, 10.6.8. sl, , it's started doing in last couple of months.
 

try resetting smc (system management controller). refer following apple kb article learn how.

Resolved why bool value is not changed in dispatch
