i hoping direction pros on realistic model range around $500.00. open 13 inch, rather have 15 inch. wife owns 2012 non-retina model , love it. have used white macbook , don't believe worth repairing , upgrading have 2006 mini want donate goodwill. plan run mb desktop kb, trackpad , monitor. buy new used pro mobile unit.
 

do have keyboard, trackpad, , monitor? because take @ least half (or more) of budget.

$500, you're looking @ old hardware if stick mbp line. plan setup?
