'Still using immunicity PAC file' error?

i've been getting above warning whenever use safari 5.1 [i'm on 10.6.8]. can access google or perhaps reddit ebay, amazon , every other page "error: you're still using legacy immunicity pac file".

mean , do? wants me uncheck automatic proxy settings in chrome , firefox. don't have chrome though use aviator. use firefox. there no mention of safari, preferred default, message here macs generally. since browse web unrestricted using either of other 2 i'm reluctant change anything. it's worked today , doing still part. it's safari.

update: aviator playing , firefox can't open web pages. use on please. here's get:-

since august 2014 uk city of london police's intellectual property unit has had control of immunicity.org domain.

in theory could have intercepted , logged every url have visted, could have proxied connections , evesdropped on doing!

there's no need panic, in august of 2015 immunicity.org domain taken pipcu uk anti-censorship activist group

in meantime should disable pac file usage , consider using tor browser instead

how disable legacy immunicity pac file

internet explorer

1. go start control panel. (windows 8 users hover mouse bottom right, click settings, click control panel)
2. find internet options (sometimes under network , internet), go connections tab.
3. at bottom, click lan settings button.
4. a new dialog appear.untick box says use automatic configuration script.
5. press ok, ok on internet options dialog.

chrome

1. in google chrome, click menu button right of url bar, , choose settings.
2. at bottom, click show advanced settings
3. under network, click change proxy settings.
   1. on windows, @ bottom click lan settings button. new dialog appear. untick box says use automatic configuration script.
   2. on mac os x, untick automatic proxy configuration.
   3. on linux, click network proxy, deselect automatic method drop down menu.
4. close dialogs save settings. on mac os x, press apply first.

firefox

1. in mozilla firefox, go options. in windows, click firefox button choose options, or go tools, options. in mac os x, go firefox, preferences. in linux, go tools, options.
2. go advanced tab, go network tab.
3. click settings next configure how firefox connects internet.
4. select 'no proxy'
5. press ok, ok on options dialog.

as always; net interprets censorship damage , routes around it.
