How to Turn Live Photos into Normal Ones

somebody's posted way of "killing" live photos editing them , unselecting "live" button, hides video part can re-enabled later (i.e. it's non-destructive edit). i've come mac photos workflow maybe useful people wanting permanently change live photos normal ones , discard video part free storage space.

1. using photos on mac, export photos want change (file>export>unmodified original) folder
2. delete photos photos
3. using finder, in folder exported you'll find 2 files each photo: .jpg (the still) , .mov (the video). delete .mov files
4. in photos, use file>import import remaining .jpg files library

there may other, simpler , better ways of doing - if please post them here!

1. open photos app in phone > tap on live photo > click on edit button in top right corner of screen.

2. click on circle pattern top left corner > icon turn white blue.

3. , click on done.

yes "hide" video bit - can click on icon again , back; doesn't delete , free storage space.
