Battery on MBA 11" sucks


i have 2011 mba 11". had new battery installed last week , still getting frustrated not lasting long enough. use internet, mail, messages etc , watch netflix (use tv movies) on it. have settings optimised battery saving find lasts few hours, maybe 4-6 if i'm lucky , i'm forever having charge it. ipad air 2 (and previous ipads before that) seem last longer - spoilt ipad battery , should resign fact if have charge mac more? find i'm using ipad more , leaving mac in cupboard got sick of warning message coming each day. or should buy new mba? battery life better?
 

there variety of factors consider... hardware , software. right off top, using google chrome browser? there have been various reports of chrome having significant impact on battery life of notebooks. experienced although relied heavily on history/bookmark syncing , extensions on chrome, switched opera... lean , mean supports syncing , has same extensions available used on chrome. saw positive improvement on battery life on 2014 11" mba.
