Wanting to trade iMac for macbook - help


well, bought imac 2 1/2 years ago, nothing wrong , it, switch potable can use in living room , not office. imac (21.5-inch, late 2013) looking larger macbook pro. not sure how go doing this? buy used macbook ebay sell imac after it? somehow , reload onto (new) macbook when somehow? i'm not sure how go whole process, , don't want burned , end machine has problems or something. if weren't expensive, i'd add macbook collection. advice?
 

what's budget? why want macbook pro versus imac? why did buy imac in first place?
