apple id change without losing data


i have unique problem i'm trying friend out with. sorry it's long post, tried make short possible.

has own apple id , purchased own apps, lives in country internet locked down , have use proxies, etc access app store, viber, , other apps. wasn't able update apps went tech store in country. person helping him had proxy access , able access app store update apps, reason, somehow transferred or re-downloaded apps under different apple id.

friend in canada , wants update apps can't because doesn't have other apple id password , wants have apps under own apple id. way know delete app , re-download under apple id. first problem data. example whatsapp history in particular. when delete app, data deleted too. thought no problem, when re-install ask me restore latest backup right? however, there backup under friend's id, since using under different id? second problem friend claims guy @ store did applied transfer without re-downloading , can't see how that's possible. there way have not heard of (transfer purchase (mostly free apps) 1 apple id without removing , re-downloading)?

if must re-download fine, long there won't data loss (eg whatsapp history, game progress, etc)

of course, more awesome if without having re-download 40 apps, , according friend somehow possible.

Fallout 4 Builds- Which ones You Prefer?
