Can't decide: Upgrade ancient iMac?


my imac ten years old. not sure exactly. runs os x 10.6.8. think maybe have installed 10.7, didn't, , nothing later install on it. latest itunes version run on 11.4. when 2 or 3 years old ethernet died, got dongle few bucks plugs usb slot , connects ethernet, no problems, works fine.

computer works fine. no problems @ all.

problem older gets less it's compatible anything. new ipad pro not connect because itunes version old, , computer not accept later version. chrome bit flaky, apparently because old hardware not fast enough, can live it. lot of features of newer os x versions don't exist on it, none of terribly important me.

use imac email, surfing web, keeping journal, calendar, arranging travel, photos, , internet chat boards. fine, said, it's not compatible newer devices.

can afford new imac. that's not issue. hate waste, , seems waste trash computer still works 100% because software no longer compatible else. obviously, nobody can make decision me, i'd interested in anyone's thoughts.
 

my thoughts technology, don't want waste computer aren't replacing obsolete 1 no longer works require.

if want feel getting new 1 donate charity i'm sure it'd great or organisation or family these old computers can great younger kids learn on.

in short if meet needs keep , soldier on, if want new software , ipad compatability (and increased security) buy new 1 , donate 1 worthy cause.

Fallout 4 Builds- Which ones You Prefer?
