Need Feedback/Buying Advice - iMac & MacBook Air or stick with the Retina MBP?


hey guys - first time poster here. absolutely love apple operating system. love hardware, design, feel. of you, have owned few macbook pro's , air's in past. mac mini or two, 3 ipads, , multiple iphones. i'm fanboy , swim in ecosphere every chance get.

sold razer blade 14" "gaming laptop" buddy. told myself going macbook pro. took plunge , purchased 15" rmbp m370 amd graphics chipset.

on computer:
play diablo 3, , jump wow. may consider first/3rd-person shooter of other types not play any.
web browsing/email
itunes

want do:
wife photo editing (she hobby photography on chromebook).
try hand @ amateur video editing.

know not require ton of processing power, struggle hard going 60fps (vsync) @ 1680x1050, settings max, shadows off ... - ~16-50fps similar settings. i'm sure rmbp running game @ higher res - not max.

absolutely love display on rmbp. beautiful thing (aside wife , kids) i've ever laid eyes on. i'd willing sacrifice possible alternative (below).

i'm considering returning 15" rmbp , going 13" air (8gb ram, 256gb hd) - lower resolution i'm hoping hd6000 can keep with. , either building small gaming pc or buying imac 5k.

struggling decision. looking feedback or ideas consider. thank in advance.
 

the mba struggle games. macs in general not best gaming rigs, though can play them. 5k imac pricey , not best option if games intended usage. have new 5k imac , great machine, don't me wrong, want best tool intended uses , think gaming pc lot cheaper 5k imac.

know doesn't much, why not stick mbp , see how goes, post love it, why wanting return computer, not meeting of needs?
