PleaseHelp!...MBPr Black screen/chime heard/no response to various booting options


please advise if think logic board/harddrive/sata cable or issue. in advance!

macbook pro retina 13" (late 2013)
model a1502

500gb ssd

bought nov 5th 2013 apple store sydney australia

live in uk

not under apple care warranty

crash occurred 4th jan2016 approx 12:30

when transferring video files external hard drive , virus scan running;
mac book became unresponsive actions few hours except jittery cursor movements every ten minutes

after leaving mac hour , no actions available decided hold down power putting force shut down.

after came on screen black. when left half hour folder , question mark sign came flashing. being unable take action force shutdown macbook.

since :

upon turning on display turns on plain black screen - no image visible under flashlight.

startup chime heard

apple logo illuminated on laptop cover

caps lock button not light up

display adjust buttons have no effect

tried start in safe mode , disk utility mode command did not work
or
did work , display not functioning

pram? reset (two chimes heard) no boot following this

smc reset - power indicator on lead turned green momentarily.

phoned apple, reckon hardware issue on phone troubleshooting

update plugged in 2 bootable usb devices , external screen. no success. won't allow target disk mode

booked genius bar appointment see if can diagnose fault.
 

sounds logic board failure me.
