Time Machine Questions


couple of time machine questions.....
  1. my time machine not automatically backup supposed in el capitan on brand new imac 5k. manual backup ok. saw others have issue once el capitan installed. have worked apple , collected reports work on issue. have other updates on issue? apple said never heard of until pointed them forum.
  2. does time machine run when machine sitting @ login screen? or need logged in?

see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7258893?start=75&tstart=0 may apply. time machine doesn't hourly backups if have uninterruptible power supply connected via usb system. of course apple has never heard of common problems else has seen, talked on support site , reported them. standard response.
