10 little questions about El Capitan - pls. help if you can

hello,
have made leap of faith..went snow leopard (yes,i've been on system past 5 years , loved every minute of it) el capitan. here mid-2010 macbook pro. installed new ssd , 8gb ram measure too. , yes, flies! happy have skipped versions in-between , find of features in system - split screen particularly - cool. line of work , incredibly important feature.
have 10 questions need with.

1. finger gestures - used old finger gestures setting snow leopard - e.g. 3 fingers left- go back, 3 fingers right - go foward etc. there way how set in el capitan too? under trackpad in system preferences, seems not possible anymore.

2. dictionary app - great. in version, in order jump entry another, quick double- click doesn't work anymore. instead need wait cursor bit before jumps made. there way change this? (people, use app literary time..this no small issue me)

3. dictionary app - again! there site download or add other dictionaries too? recommendation? specially looking english dictionary plenty of synonyms, antonyms etc.

4.finder - tags> when tagged item (a folder or file), whole line highlighted tag's color. useful, find important stuff immediately. now, once tag item, small of tag's color appears next it. find disorienting , don't that. way change that?

5.maps in google give transit options country. maps app in el captian cannot it. why?

6.split screen: windows office mac 2011 cannot splitscreen. how office 2016?
