i bought 2 keyboard cases test out ipad mini 4. new logitech focus , zagg slim book mini 4.
i'll right it. both of these bad cases different reasons.
zagg has amazing keyboard. it's backlit, although considering brightness of ipad i'm not sure why you'd need use often. key spacing gracious, travel acceptable , keys pretty need be. keyboard, it's great.
keyboard + case combo, it's worst piece of craptastic engineering i've ever seen.
unit ships plastic cover ipad mini 4. pop on of mini , can use mini 4 without keyboard , still have protected, or slide hinge mechanism of keyboard , you've got nice little laptop form factor. both plastic hinge , plastic cover horribly designed. extremely brittle, hinge literally cracked first time opened unit. case fits mini 4 rarely....i returned 3 times before got 1 snap on mini 4. highly suspect zagg made these pre-production releases of mini 4. , once manage 1 fit, starts crack away in small chunks immediately. less 2 days of use , had 4 corners cracked , entire bottom breaking off in little pieces. terrible, terrible quality $120 device.
contacted zagg (i had been buying/returning bb) , offered send me new one. accepted...and 1 did not fit mini 4 naked.
great concept, absolutely horrid implementation. not buy.
logitech focus....the case fits nicely, keyboard works well. 1 angle work with, unlike older belkin keyboard/case model, , angle may or may not work you. , while keys nice little cupping features, spaced closely , don't register (i'm looking @ shift key). compared zagg, it's @ least functional unit. mini nicely protected, case outer material durable , textured well, , unit turns off ipad when close lid. it's cheaper zagg $40 (it on sale @ bb past week).
now....the focus keeper until/unless belkin comes out older unit updated mini 4.
