i know there's nothing here can i'd share story , see if others have had frustrating experiences.
on thursday partner's apple id got disabled unknown reasons. requested password reset email never received 1 after checking junk, trash etc. inboxes. thought maybe had recovery email address set on account no longer used (perhaps university one). didn't know security questions/answers called apple support on saturday. , confirmed identity reading code appeared on ipad , card details. received bunch of emails apple during call (eg contacting apple, you've requested password reset etc.). final instruction on call , in last email received wait email in precisely 24 hours allow reset password.
24 hours , bit later last crucial email had still had not arrived - , yes checked folders in account - rang again , went through same process. confirmed email had been sent agreed send another. time specified second email address, work. time both home , work accounts received emails during call again both failed receive final email 24 hours later. 2 accounts unrelated , have different passwords , there no sign of suspicious activity on them.
@ loss , hope technical issue on apple's end, worried accounts may comprised or bizarre. although doesn't make sense, because apple id still disabled it's not recovering account , deleting emails.
anyway, wondered if has been through password reset email not being received after trying 3 different avenues??? , try next other try same thing again?
when go iforgot.apple.com u have 2 choices after entering appleid..
email notification address on file, , answering security questions.
maybe email on file different ? if so, explain why u never receive email since apple send password reset email on account associated appleid.
if don't know security questions, other choice call apple, verify account , ask to reset (which blank them out), can access account again. change password.
