Is this really how owned music works with AM?


i don't listen music these days. have 150gb of music in itunes library, younger days. went go load stuff onto phone big road trip through new zealand, , no longer allow me add music in itunes.

ok turn on icloud library on imac. allows me download offline play, lot of music (that own legally) not play, , shows greyed out. lot of albums transferred 2 or 3 tracks. insult injury tracks on phones hard drive, unplayable without data.

hell.

need choose between having apple music, or having easy access own music? if how not huge scandal? model should stream music? no big deal in states travel lot international, , mobile data precious on tour.

please tell me there setting i'm not seeing allows me total local control of phones music library.

if not going spotify yesterday.
 

i would these questions answered. opened music app first time in months , has changed worse :( wtf going on
