hello since updating ios 9.1 have noticed annoying problem not present before. if contacts app closed (like when restart phone or manually close springboard , open again) , open search contact using search field on upper part of contacts app, results not expect. shows results emails , other areas nothing contact list. if tap on “groups” , tap “done” come list, search function works again expected. have contacts icloud, exchange , facebook in list , happens of groups selected. doesn't matter if have 1 group of contacts active or of them. if have done trick of going groups , coming again once , don’t close app (let opened in background) not see problem again until restart or close , reopen app. have noticed this?   this has existed short while now - frustrating. i'm in habit of manually scrolling contact.   Forums

hi, have new ssd , i'm install it, before started installation wanted make sure new ssd functional connected via external usb sata2.5 cable. message saying "the disk inserted not readable computer" appeared on screen , checked , ssd being shown in disk utility , can in disk utility. disk not shown on finder window i'm little bit worried ssd won't work inside computer. maybe it's other way around , until connect new ssd in hard drive internal port work perfectly?? researched , error message problem has happened lot of people too, , it's annoying warning computer shows mistake. if can see in disk utility why can't see in finder window? not gonna able transfer files old hard drive connecting usb sata cable through finder window? or should connect new ssd see happens? appreciated.   partition required, should show in finder.

first post here. long time lurker since i’ve been pondering go next computer. first, little background.. i’ve been mac user since 2012, 4 years solid. have 11” mid 2011 macbook air. part, runs day got it. got college computer right before graduated high school, couldn’t start college until 2 years after graduated due health issues. i’ll graduating 2 year program next spring. there, plan on getting bachelors. macbook air has served me well. unfortunately battery life isn’t best, , carrying around cord around campus physically difficult me since can’t plug in myself (i’m in wheelchair). though had battery replaced around 6 months ago, still drains faster like. upgrading can better battery life—ideally 9 hours or more--but i’m not sure upgrade to. in perfect world, i’d love replace mac. @ time mba released, lightest thing on market, reason buying it. because of disability, smallest bit of weight counts. additionally, old windows laptop slow, needed

i've discovered advantages of setting multiple user accounts different areas work in (one dedicated audio production, etc). makes easier quick user switching feature. problem preferences set automatic login, i'm prompted password each time try , switch over. kind of defeats purpose of quick user switching. there work-around this? can switch seamlessly if set system password nothing, that's not idea , causes other complications (i.e: logmein won't access computer outside without password, , won't accept blank field option). thanks. cayce imac retina 5k display, os x el capitan (10.11.1), 4 ghz intel core i7; 16 gb 1867 mhz   just curious: what's benefit of separate accounts? example, find that, audio production, want other apps closed (so ram, , processor, focused on audio work). fast user switching, left open in account still open...just consider...
